GP Storm at Olds - pre game notes - Feb 6th

I swear, one of these games I WILL get the Storm lines... I'm just always occupied with something else and NEVER seem to get them... haha

I missed starting lineups too... my bad. One of these days, like I said.. I will get all this and hopefully will from then on... hehe!

Storm scratches - LD #4 Tyler Haiste, C #7 Sam Lawson, C/RW #23 John Webb. Now replaced Storm captain, RW #15 Taylor Cote has not been mentioned by Jeff Henson as being a scratch for games now... to me, that's an indication his season is over.

G #20 Nick Kulmanovsky again gets start for Storm.

Grizzlys scratches - D/F #5 Connor Bass, LW #19 Reid Wilson, C/D #22 J.C. Heck.

G #31 Ethan Jemieff started but uh... didn't finish, let's put it that way. G #1 Jake Tamagi came in later.

Whole LOAD (well, the MAIN AJHL one... will be a LOAD alone... it's likely gonna be a friggen mile long... haha! What do you expect from over a week eh? Haha!) of hopeful other posts to come yet tonight though!

GP Storm Vs Whitecourt pre-game notes - Dec 11th

Grande Prairie:
*Storm captain RW #15 Taylor Cote out with confirmed concussion - but status uncertain (edit - confirmed from him on 1st intermission radio interview, to likely be out til new year), same with C #7 Sam Lawson but he's out indefinitely with a concussion. RW #16 Ryan Baskerville back in the lineup as expected, from appendicitis

Whitecourt:
*Although yet to be added to the game roster and even the AJHL with a profile, according to Jeff Henson on 104.7 Free FM broadcast, Whitecourt has AP LW Jacques Bernier in the lineup. Therefore I'm not sure what to believe from the Whitecourt updater - who has currently APs C #29 Samuel Lauzon (from North Peace Navigators - NWJHL Jr B) and LD #5 Jordan Davies listed on the game sheet without jersey #s. Jeff listed the only AP in the lineup was Bernier. Davies was, by the way, last confirmed to be down with Sherwood Park Kings Midget AAA (AMHL) for a game Saturday night at home vs Calgary Flames Midget AAA. Screenshot of pre-game sheet though, showing the current APs according to Whitecourt updater:

Have contacted Whitecourt Wolverines, Chris Colwell (Whitecourt play-by-play) & Jeff Henson via Twitter, about erroneous game sheet with inaccurate APs... which also doesn't include another D-man (?) from the Q on Wolverines lineup, and waiting to hear back... but will likely have to email the AJHL directly again about the errors.

Missed this til now, as I don't currently update the dub, but Whitecourt Wolverines RD #23 Zach Paterson, has been recalled and is now up with Portland Winterhawks (as #7) for '3-4 weeks'.

GP Storm & Sherwood Park roster moves

So, as I got to the arena today, I was informed that LW #26 Jake Matkin, has left the Storm. Apparently he was offered a Jr B card, but turned down the offer and went home, and has left hockey from what I've heard. Best of luck to you in your future endevours Frodo Matkins!

Storm captain RW #15 Taylor Cote is out officially with an upper body injury and will miss the weekend games, but has had concussion issues in the past.

News for the Sherwood Park, D Isaac Farrah is up as an AP wearing #26 on the game sheet, but #25 on the notes Jeff has for the game... so he's wearing one of those #s... hehe! Visual confirmation - he's wearing an unnamed #26 tonight in pre-game warmup.

Edit: Also to note LW/C #29 Mike Forsyth, promoted to 3rd assistant captain earlier this week, and wearing that A tonight with the absence of Cote.
