Pre-game notes - Storm vs Bonnyville - Jan 11th

This is the post 4th to 9th post, and post-D day post, I was eluding to... will include scores later too but likely not til this post goes active anyways. I plan to be fully caught up on the AJHL tonight... hopefully it all works out, because this being badly behind crap, is really getting to me this week!

Pre game notes between GP Storm & Bonnyville, tonight in Bonnyville:

Grande Prairie:
*Newly acquired C Braeden Music (who apparently asked for trade out of Canmore pre-Xmas - per intermission interview with Jeff Henson) was given LW Marc-Etienne Drapeau (who went back to Quebec for school then later was traded back to his old team, the Sherbrooke College Champlain Cougars of the LHJAAAQ, QC Jr A)'s old #19.
*Newly acquired LW/C Brett Printz has been given #18 that was worn for 1 game 2 nights ago ago by LW/C Cameron Brezinski (who was/is up from Knights of Columbus Midget AAA (AMHL).).
*RW #14 Jade McMullen - out with a "bit of a hip injury" per Jeff Henson on Storm vs Pontiacs game broadcast.
*LD #6 Kye McKinney (from Fort Saskatchewan Rangers Midget AAA (AMHL).) makes his 2nd straight appearance for the Storm on D, prior to newly assigned/acquired currently #-less LD Riley Van Horne arriving from Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL) for game tomorrow night for Storm in Fort McMurray.

Bonnyville:
*Picked up free agent C Jamie Johnson prior to the deadline. I was going to list him on the Jan 4th to 9th post, but as he's just in the lineup tonight vs the Storm wearing #16 - I thought I'd just post it here. Not sure exactly what happened, but I guess after the Melville Millionaires (SJHL) acquired the former Wolverines captain, apparently they must have made him a late pre-D-day cut/release (he never did dress for a game for Melville either - not even listed on their stats page at all with 0 games, like other players are). Confirmation from Jeff Henson tonight on game broadcast - he was infact released. Wow, since he went to the North Edmonton Red Wings (CapJHL) ahead of the trade to Melville, he's had 11 assists in only 7 games in the Capital Junior Hockey League (Jr. B) - he last played for NERW on Wednesday against the Spruce Grove Regals. Update from Robb Hunter on broadcast with Jeff Henson - Jamie Johnson never did report to Melville, so they later agreed to release him to "let him play where he wanted, to end his Jr A career". This however put Bonnyville over the 23 player roster limit so...
*They released former #16 C Travis Wellman, who you may recall thanks to an erroneous NOJHL trade that was listed was supposedly traded to the Abitibi Eskimos last month.
*Final update to this post - RD #2 Aaron Irving was up with WHL's Edmonton Oil Kings from Dec 27th game, until the first game of 2013 for Bonnyville on Jan 4th.
