AJHL scores & roster moves - Dec 8th

Scores:

1. Bonnyville beat Calgary Canucks 5-1 at Max Bell in Calgary. Pontiacs came out with a 3-0 lead in the first period on the injury plagued Canucks.
2. Calgary Mustangs beat Canmore 8-2, in Canmore. It was 1-1 after the 1st, but the Mustangs scored 5 in the 2nd and the game was pretty much over after that.
3. Brooks beat Okotoks 5-2 in Okotoks. Heavily one-sided in shots for Brooks. Okotoks got within 1 twice, but couldn't tie it up.
4. Sherwood Park beat Grande Prairie 3-0 here in GP. A lot of missed opportunities for the Storm, and some even closer chances for the Cru that could have made this game more one-sided in score - a post, crossbar, and puck crossing after the net was dislodged. Matt Tomkins with the shutout.
5. Drayton Valley beat Drumheller 5-4 in OT in Drumheller. Drumheller led 3-1 after 2, then Drayton scored 3 straight to take the lead only to have it tied off a shorthanded Stephen Doane goal for Drumheller, but Drayton ended up winning it off a Luke Madill goal in extra time.
6. Spruce Grove beat Camrose 3-0 in Camrose. Close in shots, and the and final third goal was an empty netter by Tim Nolte. Kenny Cameron with the shutout.
7. Fort McMurray beat Lloydminster 4-2 in Fort Mac. A tie game after 2, until Lloyd scored early in the 3rd to take their only lead of the game, but the MOB came back with 3 unanswered goals.

Roster moves:

Calgary Canucks - I expect at least 3 or 4 with their injury list:
*D #34 - Zach Dietrich, up from the Calgary Northstars Midget AAA (AMHL) for tonight's game.
*D #6 Deryk Sutherland, down to the Northstars for game Friday, back with the Canucks for Saturday.

*#-less C Cameron Anklewich added to reserves/listed/AP. Currently with CRAA Gold Minor Midget AAA (AMMHL)

*RW #24 Alexander Mowbray, back down to the Calgary Buffaloes Midget AAA (AMHL) for game tonight
*G #1 Jeff Orser, went back to Calgary Northstars Midget AAA (AMHL) for game Friday. Also G #1 Cody Befus, still yet to play with CBHA Rangers Jr B (CalJHL), so I still have him as an active Canucks player at this point.

Calgary Mustangs:
*#-less Evan Pugh I'm pretty sure was mistakenly/accidentally listed on active due to being listed/reserved/added as AP, as he just so happened to play for the Calgary Flames Midget AAAs (AMHL) last night.

Canmore:
*Former RW #2 Wyat Haustein has been delisted from the Eagles reserves. He's been playing with Stettler Lightning (HJHL) this season, after contemplating retiring in the summer.

Drayton Valley:
*RW #14 Braden Jakubowski, back to Leduc Oil Kings Midget AAA (AMHL) for game yesterday.
*RW #22 Jody Sick, who started the season with Okotoks Oilers wearing #14 (still active profile on Oilers reserve roster - Canmore also actually has a guy on their reserve roster that is playing elsewhere in the AJHL on a duplicate profile: GP's Brandon Hodge - here's the Canmore profile), went back to Red Deer Chiefs Midget AAA (AMHL) when their season started; just has been added as an AP/listed on Drayton's active roster and played last night

Drumheller:
*G #31 Garrett Storms went back to KC Colts Midget AA (NAMHL) for game on the 4th.
*RW #23 Logan Aasman is back with the Southeast Tigers Midget AAA (AMHL - Medicine Hat) as of game yesterday.

Fort McMurray:
*LW/C #8 Ethan James, back with Southeast Tigers Midget AAA for Saturday game.

Grande Prairie:
*D #28 - Jeremy Barriault out with a flu, day-to-day
*F #16 - Ryan Baskerville set to return a lot earlier than originally said to be, as he got doctor clearance and is expected back for Tuesday game in Whitecourt

Lloydminster:
*F #27 Ryley Wozniak, although still listed on active Bobcats roster, has been back with the St. Paul Canadiens (NEAJBHL Jr B) for games on both Nov 7th & 8th.

Okotoks:
*C #7 Sam Plaquin has been moved to the reserves - not sure what that's all about. He's only got 'rookie' and 'reserve' icons on roster there. Also moved to reserves with 'rookie' and 'reserve' icons though is F #20 Holden Lamb, who's also been listed as injured for a while. A lower body injury with 8-12 weeks expected to be missed (back Dec 22nd - Jan 9th).

Sherwood Park:
*C/LW #26 Jesse Wood-Schatz - moved to the SP reserves recently, seemingly due to injury, as seen below.

Spruce Grove:
*D #4 (formerly #3) Kaleb Denham called up from Red Deer Chiefs Midget AAA (AMHL) to play last night for Saints.
*LW #6 Paul Lovsin, back to the St. Albert Raiders Midget AAAs (AMHL) for game Saturday.
*Also D #4 Clayton Kirichenko, was sent down to Sherwood Park Kings Midget AAA (AMHL) for Saturday game - hence how Denham wore #4 in game with Saints.
*Also #4 when he last played Dec 4th, D/F Cole Nicholson went back to play with the Lloydminster Bobcats Midget AAAs (AMHL) for Saturday game.
